Aaron Hummert, a Professional Land Surveyor with Interstate Engineering, was awarded the Survey Excellence Award by the North Dakota Society for Professional Land Surveyors (NDSPLS). He was presented the award on Thursday, February 7 at the 40th Annual NDSPLS Convention in Grand Forks. The award recognizes the efforts Aaron has made to further the Professional Land Surveying field.
Nominated by peers, the award looks at service to the profession, service outside of the profession, survey activities, publications, legislative efforts, recognition as a professional leader, organization memberships, and other contributing activities.
Aaron met the criteria through his dedication to the survey profession, his work on advancing surveying throughout the state, his role within NDSPLS, and his professional integrity.
Currently Aaron serves as the Survey Manager for Interstate Engineering in Mandan, North Dakota. He served as the President of the NDSPLS from 2016 to 2017 and is currently the Legislative Committee Co-Chair. He is an adjunct professor at Bismarck State College, teaching boundary law and cadastral survey.
