Shaw-Quinones Post

Interstate Engineering proudly announces Rebecca Shaw-Quiñones, AICP, is now a Certified Grant Writer. With this credential, Rebecca will continue to help clients with long-range planning, community development, and capacity building for new projects. The experience of a Certified Grant Writer highlights Interstate Engineering’s continued commitment to building on our 45 years of success. Communities and local governments can continue to rely on Interstate Engineering to assist in finding funding and engineering solutions that meet the needs into the future.

The American Grant Writers’ Association administers the Certified Grant Writer credential. The AGWA writes, “The Certified Grant Writer® Credential is the industry standard for professionals in the field of grant writing.  This credential documents that the professional has demonstrated proficiency in researching grant opportunities, program development, proposal writing for grants, preparing budgets for grants, and professional ethics by passing a rigorous 7-hour examination.”

“Our clients continue to see grant writing services as an added value to our traditional services,“ said Brent Moore, Western Regional Vice President. “Rebecca’s previous experience working for the State of Montana, her grant writing expertise, and her dedication are critical as we have worked through newly created grant programs related to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) and increased federal spending on public infrastructure.”

Rebecca looks forward to using her expanded knowledge of grant-seeking to assist clients by securing new opportunities that will enhance communities.
