Darrell was honored with the Friend of Rural Water award at the North Dakota Rural Water Conference. This acknowledgment surprised him, as the Jamestown office kept it a secret for several months. Darrell Hournbuckle has been with Interstate Engineering since 2000 and is currently a Senior Project Engineer specializing in water and wastewater. He has been a design engineer and project manager on various water and wastewater treatment projects. He has prepared facility plans, similar planning documents, and cost estimates in this capacity. Darrell has also prepared plans and specifications for bidding purposes. He has worked on projects including filtration plants, additions to existing plants, distribution network analysis, design, well fields, and updating and rehabilitating existing water treatment plants.
