Interstate Engineering expands the Spearfish team with the addition of Garrett as a Staff Engineer! He graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Mathematics in 2022. He will graduate from Colorado State University with a master’s degree in civil engineering in 2025. He specializes in structural analysis and design, scientific engineering research, and building professional and personal relationships.
Garrett chose the engineering field because he has always been fascinated with mathematics. After taking Trigonometry, he asked his teacher where these principles are applied outside the classroom. He recommended that Garrett look into civil engineering, specifically bridge design.
