Civil Engineer
Location: Horace, North Dakota
As a Water Resource Engineer, you will play a key role in the study, design, and construction of water management projects including rural water resource district work, municipal facilities, open channel work, and much more. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team you will use your technical and management skills; utilize your technical expertise by being hands-on during the design process; work with a team by providing technical direction and expertise; use project management skills for organizing, planning, and directing work activities and budgets; foster and build a client base through interpersonal relationships; and construction management.
Additionally, the following is preferred:
- Basic understanding of water management rules and regulations in North Dakota
- Understanding of water resource project funding and sources of funds in ND
- Experience with project management and budgeting
- Experience with CADD software such as AutoCAD or Microstation and GIS software
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer in North Dakota or ability to obtain within six months
- Technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Capability of supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere is vital
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and clients
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license
