Wilken County hired Interstate Engineering to provide design and construction engineering services for replacing the Campbell Bridge in Campbell, MN, on County State Aid Highway 4 over the Rabbit River.
The new bridge is a 155-foot-long three-span with prestressed concrete I-beams beams, a concrete deck, concrete piers, and concrete abutments supported by steel piling. The Campbell Bridge has a road width of 32 feet. The length and style of the bridge were determined after completing the hydraulic study for the river and evaluating different options.
Interstate Engineering provided hydraulic evaluation and design engineering, including preparing plans, specifications, and construction estimates; assistance with bidding and construction engineering, including observation to confirm conformance with plans and specifications; coordination with contractors and utilities; and project documentation.
