Interstate Engineering’s Planning Group provides essential current planning services to the City of Sheridan, reviewing subdivision applications, PUD Master Plan submittals, and variance and rezoning requests.
When the City of Sheridan needed additional planning support, Interstate Engineering stepped in to provide the community development director with the additional bench depth needed to help grow the city’s vision.
The role of a community development director has various duties, including planning, organizing, and directing the planning department and current and long-range planning, development review, permitting, and related activities. With this role vacant in the city and community growth continuing, the city needed additional support to keep up with the demand.
Interstate Engineering provides on-call planning services to Sheridan, with expertise and resources available when the city needs the help. The Interstate Engineering team uses project management and file-sharing software to review applications and attachments for city zoning and subdivision regulation compliance. The team publishes project comments and approvals through the project management software, and staff reports are prepared for the Sheridan City Council and Planning Commission on any significant project.
The experience and expertise of the planning team provide the City of Sheridan with essential planning services, giving the city time to carefully rebuild and develop the planning and community development departments. By taking on planning-related duties, the city can maintain the quality and timeliness of development application
review Sheridan residents expect and appreciate.
