Interstate Engineering provided design and construction engineering services for water distribution system improvements and a new 750,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.
Work included providing a water study review, analysis of size and type of structure, site selection for the new tank, project set up, surveying, and preparation of plans, specifications, bid documents, and construction administration.
Phase I consisted of the new 750,000-gallon water storage reservoir, including all tank construction, painting, SCADA, and telemetry. KLM Engineering was part of the design team for this project phase. They assisted in all aspects of the tower involving painting.
Phase II of the project consisted of roughly 8,000 linear feet of new PVC water mains. This piping ranged in size from 10 inches to 16 inches. This phase also included directional drilling of HDPE pipe and control valve work on the existing water tower.
