Water Storage Tank Removal and Replacement
Edgeley, North Dakota
The City of Edgeley worked with Interstate Engineering to complete a water system improvement project including the removal and replacing of it’s on-ground tank.
Interstate Engineering helped obtain a $365,000 grant to cover 80% of the project cost through the State of North Dakota Emergency Relief Fund. The original tank developed holes in the roof, and the City Council declared an emergency. The project replaced the 250,000-gallon on-ground storage tank with a new 150,000-gallon glass-fused steel tank. The project came in under budget. Interstate Engineering was instrumental in working with the funding agency to allow the city to use the remainder of the money to paint its elevated storage tank and improve its booster station, including SCADA upgrades, piping improvements, and pump rehabilitation.
