GIS Improvement Project Receives ACEC/ND Award
Interstate Engineering is proud to announce the firm was awarded an American Council of Engineering Companies of North Dakota (ACEC/ND) Excellence Award in the Surveying & Mapping category for a GIS improvement project involving the Barnes Rural Water District (BRWD) near Valley City. The ACEC/ND recognizes engineering firms for projects that demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement, and value.
The BRWD is committed to providing clean and safe water to the residents it serves. Interstate Engineering is an active partner with the BRWD and has worked on multiple system improvements. In 2021, our team of professionals assisted the BRWD with a GIS improvement project allowing the district to better access its data through mapping. Our team, Wade Senger, Principal Engineer, Darrell Hournbuckle, Senior Project Engineer, Jason Boucher, GIS Specialist, and Jed Hastings, Project Manager, assisted in creating geospatial solutions for the BRWD.
Jed Hastings accepted the award on behalf of the company. “It is a special thing to have a client be just as happy with the outcome of a project as we are and I am very proud of this accomplishment,” said Hastings.
