Cancer has always been a cause worth fighting against, and for the second year now, Gordon Lemmel has  participated in the Brave the Shave Fundraiser. Brave the Shave is a ND-based organization that raises funds to support families with children battling cancer. His participation highlights the importance of community support in the fight against this disease.

His best friend was recently diagnosed with cancer, so he is turning the fight into something far more than just a good cause—it has become deeply personal. “This year, my involvement became even more meaningful as I stand in solidarity with my best friend, emphasizing the personal impact cancer has on individuals and their loved ones”, says Gordon.

At Brave the Shave, Gordon shaved his head not only to support the organization, which helps kids battling cancer, but also to stand in solidarity with his best friend and everyone facing this fight. “It’s a small gesture, but it’s one way I can stand with them,” said Gordon.
